The first of its kind adjustable tablet holder built to correct posture in children ages 3 – 10 on their tablet devices. No other tablet device has the adjustable components like the DigiRoo. Inventors, Antonia and Llyod Holder saw the need for a device that corrects the posture when they noticed their two children were having challenges sitting upright with the standard tablet holders.
In a digital era were laws, devices, structure and more are being created as we adapt – the DigiRoo aims to address the physical component of digital technology. We often address the issues of mental health when discussing digital technology; from cyber bullying, unwanted advances, anonymous bots and more. However, the DigiRoo invention reminds us that the digital spaces also effect our physical health as well, and as the new generation grows with these devices, discovering what can provide a better experience is apart of the journey.
Since their launch of the invention, the feedback has been positive and the company has already gained a retail partnership with AF Smith. In this interview you will hear more about the process to create the DigiRoo, their children’s involvement, the companies successes and challenges.
The DigiRoo, was also awarded an honorary mention with Fast Company in the category of ‘wellness’ . Other honorary mentions were companies like Pinterest, Samsung and Fitbit.
