Dr. Fatima Cody Stanford on obesity, diabetes & medication

In this in depth interview with Dr. Fatima Cody Stanford, she breaks down the complexities of diabetes and obesity and how obesity impacts an individual and not the assumption that all cases are impacted by one instance but instead – multiple causes.

Dr. Stanford is an Obesity Medicine Physician, Internist, Pediatrician, Scientist, and Policy Maker. Dr. Stanford is currently the associate professor of medicine and pediatrics and the Director – Nutrition Obesity Research Centre at the Harvard Medical School. She also sits as the Director of Equity and Anti-Racism inititives at Massachusetts General Hospital.

In this interview, we discuss the links of obesity, sugar tax, and stresses in Bermuda that can add to the high rate of Obesity on the island.
