The following is a statement from the Bermuda Police Service:
“Please be advised that the Bermuda Police Service Criminal Records Office and Vetting Department, have re-opened to in-person queries.
Be reminded that current COVID safety protocols must be adhered to, including mask wearing when entering the office, hand sanitizer use and physical distancing.
Because of the workload recovery efforts please expect there will be delays in turnaround of Clearance Certificates. Members of the Public in need of a Criminal Record Check can still submit via our online process. Before you submit, please refer to the application instructions for guidance.

Members of the Public in need of a ‘Criminal Record Check’ can still submit:
1: Fully completed application (SF39)
2: Prescribed supporting documentation (e.g. certified colour copy of valid passport)
3: Proof of payment.
These are to be scanned and emailed to: vetting@bps.bm. For further assistance, please contact our office at 247-1750.
Certificates will be emailed to the address provide in your application and mailed to your desired address. Because of the current workload recovery conditions please expect there will be delays to our normal turnaround activities.
